The World Cup is known for a couple things, great football (soccer) and even better fans. No matter what country all of the citizens ban together and show their pride for their nation. Dressing up in what seems like ridiculous outfits and plastering themselves from head to toe in their nations colors to cheer their nation unto victory. It’s always invigorating to see a nation come together and watch the game no matter what differences they have. No other sporting event has this effect like the World Cup.
After 64 intense games (minus the German vs. Brazil game), there was one winner, Germany! The German team was very tough this year, with experience, speed, and technique this team was a brick house.

What To Look Forward To:
In four years the next World cup will take place in Russia. It will be interesting to see how the teams change within the four year. Germany might have key players hurt which would affect their style of play. Tim Howard may not come back due to his age which would be a HUGE loss for the US team and would give them 4 years to train a new goalie. Speaking of goalies, Mexico’s goalie Ochoa had tremendous games this past year. Within the 4 years he could improve even more making it that much harder for the opposing team to score or he could sustain an injury that would affect his outcome. Hopefully in 2018, we won’t have another Suarez biting his opponents again. Or the first goal of the Cup being an own goal by the hosting team (Brazil). But we will not know until we watch the games in 2018.
But on a positive note, hopefully the USA team will gain more experience and be more of a threat. And Costa Rica will keep improving and be a real contender the next round. But when the whistle blows, it could be anyone’s game, so make sure you are tuned in to watch the action! Have a German Soccer Party for the first and last game they play in for the next World Cup.
