Get up and Vote!
Voting is a privilege of which we should all take advantage (if you’re over the age of 18). Finding a candidate whose platform, promises, and beliefs align directly with your own is rare so it is important to know what issues are most important to you. Also remember that many local issues are also on the ballet; and those might have a greater impact on your daily life. Do some research before hitting the polls and make an informed decision!
In many communities, the turnout rate for voting is less that 50%. We can do so much better! Whatever your reason for not getting out to the polls, throw it away and get yourself moving. If you can’t make it to a polling location, you can vote by absentee ballot (as long as you request one in advance). Voting is our responsibility as citizens!
